acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 12th January, No.62281/21, regarding the adoption of a standard form of agreement for appointments in Hong Kong,

and to state that, in view of the fact that some appointments do not carry the right to free quarters, we suggest no reference to the provision or non-provision of quarters should be made

in the agreement and I enclose two copies each of the proposed

Information Class A and B agreements amended accordingly. regarding the provision of quarters is always given to intending

candidates with the particulars of any vacancy.
